NORM KON FORM, 2013

Man versucht das Innen dessen was man außen ist nach innen zu bringen, und in das Außen zu gelangen... Man ist innen dann außen.... Man fühlt Leere... Man versucht sich in das zu versetzen, was man außen ist. – (Adorno) Our body is the basis of our identity, the expression of our personality and the reflection of our history. Under the gaze of society, our body becomes an object of control, a projection surface for the desires of others, a product, segmented and reduced to individual body parts. The body becomes a battlefield of inner values and outer ideas. Floods of images from my environment have inspired me to create movements and body images. The interface where inner feelings collide with external norms and social constraints was interesting for me to explore. My movement research led me to deformations and an amorphous, hybrid corporeality that tell of the subtle rape through control and conformity in this world that has become labyrinthine.
